So far, the site is pretty good...hopefully more people will be using your ad to sell or seek to buy horses. Also, would be nice to see used saddles, tack and over all equine supply ads. More contacts for riding lessons for kids.

Penny, I'm glad that South Texas now has a place on the web to serve the equine industry. I am an Equine Chiropractor. I am based out of Corpus Christi and am completely mobile. I do a lot of work in North Texas as well as the Hill Country because of having so many contacts while I attended school in those areas. If you have any questions or comments for me, feel free to respond. I am here to help.
Sincerely,
Dr. Richard

Penny,
The website is great! You are "on to something" with a local connection for services! I'll pass on the site to all my horsey friends!

Dear Ms. Mikeman,
It was so nice to see an equine website for the South Texas area. I have a very small pony farm (Cotton Fields Pony Farm) in Bishop. Hopefully, there will be a couple of foals this spring. If that happens, I will be placing an advertisement on your website later next year.
But right now, I am interested in placing a notice in the equine club section. The website said it was free but I couldn't figure out how to do it. What I would like to put in that section is for people interested in starting a pony and miniature horse club in the Corpus Christi and surrounding areas to contact me at 361.455.8883.
I also would like to start a pony rescue in this area but I am not quite sure how to go about it. But I will be checking with the animal rescue groups in Kingsville and Bishop for more information.
Thank you very much. I look forward to checking www.southtexasequine.com frequently and telling others about it.
Sincerely,
Vickie Jacobson

Dear Vickie,
Just call me Penny :-) And thank you for taking the time to mail a letter with your comments. I appreciate it.
I've long had the idea of a central location for equine enthusiasts of all types to meet and mingle. When we bought our first horse some 9 years ago, it was very hit or miss in becoming educated and where to turn. If the local "Ad Sack" didn't have someone selling or offering a service we were needing then we were just out of luck.
The format for STE is simple & honest. A good one month ad for a service or good that is being offered for only $5 and that includes a photo, links to websites or e-mail etc. I plan to promote STE through the trade news (Ad Sack, Thrifty Nickel etc) as well as Vets and hopefully we'll be on the radio in 2007.
If you or any other readers can think of a service that is needed in our region please don't hesitate to let me know.
Sincerely,
Penny
